Dr. Marlen Martirossian is committed to continually improving his ability to change his patients’ lives through dentistry. This means that he is continually learning about new and better approaches to dentistry and honing his abilities in his practice. His education goes far beyond his Doctor of Dental Science (DDS). Studying at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). LVI is the premier school for and neuromuscular dentistry. His studies included a focus on the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) using neuromuscular dentistry. He learned how to use computers to analyze bite problems and the art and science of correcting them to alleviate TMJ symptoms such as headaches, jaw pain, tinnitus, and more. Dr. Martirossian studied the treatment of sleep apnea using oral appliances at LVI as well. This means gaining an understanding of how narrow or collapsed airways can lead to snoring or sleep apnea, and the ways that different oral appliances can be used to restore silent, efficient breathing. Dr. Martirossian received his Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) from New York University. He performed his residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed a 2-year implant course at New York University College of Dentistry. He has been selected as a top dentist by the Consumers’ Research Council of America for many years. When he’s not practicing or studying dentistry, Dr. Martirossian enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Lia, daughter Ani, and son Nikolas.
