Dr. Satran grew up in Rockland County and graduated from Clarkstown South High School. After graduating from New York Medical College, he completed his pediatric residency at Texas Tech University. He returned to Rockland County in 2002 in order to provide service to children and adolescents in our community. Dr. Satran feels that a commitment to community service is an important aspect of a physician's involvement with patients. He served as medical director for Camp Homeward Bound, a summer camp for homeless children located in Harriman, NY. In 2009 and 2010, Dr. Satran made medical mission trips to Haiti to administer pediatric care to needy children. He has served on the clinical committee of Nyack Hospital, and on the admissions committee of New York Medical College. Dr. Satran enjoys playing many sports, but especially loves skiing, tennis and basketball. He is a big proponent of exercise and has completed three marathons and two half-ironman triathlons.
