Dr. Auerbach has been involved in both basic science and clinical research, giving presentations at national and international meetings on hand and upper extremity anatomy, surgical reconstruction and skin grafting. Dr. Auerbach is a consultant for an orthopedic technology company and is an inventor of surgical instruments with United States patents pending. He has authored textbook chapters on the fixation of hand fractures, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, and upper extremity arthroscopy. Dr. Auerbach, his wife Lisa, and his daughters have traveled extensively around the world. They enjoy outdoor sports, music and theater. David M.
