Dr. Edward S. Barnes is a board-certified internist. He has been in clinical practice and academic medicine since 1987. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine and an Attending Physician at New York University Langone Medical Center. Dr. Barnes’ areas of expertise include general internal medicine, including all aspects of adult office-based medicine and hospital care, preventive medicine, and management of chronic medical conditions (Hypertension, Asthma, Type 2 diabetes, Hyperlipidemia). Dr. Barnes graduated from Columbia College and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. He sits on a number of hospital committees, including quality assessment and patient safety.
