He received his M.D. in 1980 at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and served his internship at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Ferencz also served his residency in Internal Medicine at Monmouth Medical Center, acting as Chief Resident his final year. He completed his residency in Neurology at the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1986. Dr. Ferencz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), Board Certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, Board Certified in Vascular Neurology by the ABPN and Board Certified in Neurocritical Care by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS). Dr. Ferencz has been on the Neurologic Critical Pathways Team at Community Medical Center since 1995 and is the Medical Director of Community Medical Center’s Primary Stroke Center and Center for Sleep Disorders.
