Dr. Irene E. Draga is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who is experienced in comprehensive Ophthalmology and specializes in cataract surgery and medical retina. Dr. Draga graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College, Columbia University. She then received her Medical Degree from Mount Sinai Medical School in N.Y. She did a medical internship at Cabrini Medical Center. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJ). Dr. Draga then completed a fellowship in medical retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England. Dr. Draga served as resident instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at LIJ and has won the “Teacher of the Year” Award. Dr. Draga is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, and the New York Society for Clinical Ophthalmology. She is a clinical Ophthalmology attending at LIJ, New York Hospital Queens, and Manhattan, Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.
