Jason Kanos, MD, is Vice Chairman for Quality and Patient Safety, Medical Director for Labor and Delivery, and Chair of Quality Improvement Committee in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West. In addition, he is an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Kanos practices obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West, where he has been on the faculty since 2000. He is board certified in the specialty. While his practice spans all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, he has a special interest in gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas as an undergraduate, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
