Dr. Lorraine Chrisomalis-Valasiadis is a board-certified OBGYN practicing in New York City. She receive her BA from Barnard College and MD from New York Medical College in 1990. A former chairman of the Junior Fellows for District II from 1995-1996, she represented over 800 residents at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology during her fellowship training, which she completed in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center. After her formal training, she worked for eleven years as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University Medical Center, provided a wide range of obstetrical care for high-risk pregnancy patients. She offered her expertise in medical and surgical conditions associated with complicated pregnancies, such as women of advanced maternal age, diabetes and pregnancy, preterm labor, and the management of multiples. In 2005 she opened her own private practice in Manhattan, on the Upper East Side. She taught medical students and residents at St. Vincent’s Medical Center from 2005-2010. She is currently affiliated with North Shore/LIJ.
