How was your experience with the doctor?Absolutely delicious.  Get the duck, you won't be disappointed.  Fried rice is tasty and even their spicier dishes can be made a bit more mild.  Best Chinese in Stamford without question.

How was your experience with the doctor?Just a good asian place for food, didn't understand the hype the place is different than other asian place. The app and entrees were both good and disappointing at the same time, maybe ordered the wrong food and not the high priced items. Dumplings were the best. Beef and the Szechuan were ok. Putting some chili pepper on dishes were more of a garnish than anything.  Service could use some work. Parking in garage.

How was your experience with the doctor?A solid 4 star from me for today's lunch for its great work of the Peking duck - crispy and golden brown skins and wonderful meat cleanly cut and served, its modern ambient setting, and good service . The duck took abut 5-8 minutes to serve amazingly fast.  Other food items such as xiaokingbao, doupi beancurd, and fish and sour soup were great too. What was interesting was a big snow storm just came during this one hour lunch and made  the way back home a long and difficult one but the food made it worthwhile.

How was your experience with the doctor?Various gradations of spice levels, good prices, strong menu with solid options of different types of meats and vegetarian combined with a sophisticated atmosphere yet homey family-style roundtables. The braised beef soup was delicious and enormous, the meat cooked to perfection! Be aware of the spice levels, even my spice-accustomed friends found it flaming (in a good way!)The place has a new, fresh feel that is nice combination of cool and comfy - would LOVE to come here more often! They have signature cocktails, various types of alcohol that you don't find at your typical bar, although their dessert menu is 3 items. As a Chinese restaurant (not too many around) it stands out in how well it delivers on its theme. It is so pleasant and relaxing to sit there with the beautiful decor. It reminded me of my meals in Beijing sitting in the communal tables from my time teaching there. I rarely say this ever but: I know for a fact that I will be coming back here soon. And I cannot wait. Overall excellent all around.

How was your experience with the doctor?Overall a very ordinary restaurant- strange interior design, sub par service, and average food. The lunch specials used to include soup and spring rolls but they changed that so now the lunch special doesn't include anything, so not sure how that counts as a "special" for the ambiance, quality, and taste of the food the prices are quite high. Some good items on the menu are the eggplant tofu dish and Kung Pao chicken.

How was your experience with the doctor? Two time visit to date.. Have to rate food as yummy.. The same dishes twice each visit, so really enjoyed them. The service was good.. both times we went a little closer to closing. Yesterday's visit the waitress was good, but definitely ready to wrap up the table. Would love to try a few more dishes in the future.

How was your experience with the doctor?Food was good, but nothing to write home about. Tasty, hot, and plentiful. No real complaints on the food. Service was very slow. After seated, it took a very long time for a server to attend to us. But once he got started, he was ok. The atmosphere could be spruced up a bit more. No real ambience at all. (Looked exactly like the old Kona Grill next door--which is now closed. I wonder if they just brought Kona's tables and chairs?) Anyhow, now that I tried PC's, not in any hurry to go back. Like I said, it was good, but nothing memorable.

How was your experience with the doctor?Best Chinese food ever. Stamford finally has a good Chinese restaurant and the food is just oh so delicious. I've never dined in but have gotten take out. A lot of food as well.  Worth the money.

How was your experience with the doctor? The people have spoken. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Fairfield County, probably in Connecticut. If you are looking for an experienced guide to lead you through the intricacies of Sichuan cuisine, look no further than the legendary Chef Peter Chang.

How was your experience with the doctor?Good Chinese place in Stamford. Both takeout and eat-in arrive in a timely manner and the quality of the food does not disappoint. The flavors are abundant and the portion size is decent, however the price is VERY high for anything outside of NYC. $20 for a single entree? Definitely not your everyday go-to. However, once in a while if you are looking fot good Chinese food, Peter Chang is a solid option located near the Stamford Mall, Stamford Sheraton, and within walking distance of the Stamford Train Station.

How was your experience with the doctor? The food is very good, some of the best Chinese I have had since I moved out of Queens. Sadly the service was awful. The waitress messed up our order (doubled up on one app, forgot another), she asked us if we wanted a drink refill, but took over 20 minutes to bring it and brought us the wrong drink when she did. She didn't apologize, just told us she was busy. I will go back, but avoid her section.

How was your experience with the doctor?I usually rave about this place to literally everyone. I've had the three pepper chicken twice before and I've loved it - this time, I ordered it as take out through Grub Hub. The quality of this dish was subpar this time around. The rice was extremely dry and seemed to be undercooked. I tried to resolve this issue through Grub Hub and their customer service reps suggested a refund as I live 30 mins away from the restaurant. Disappointingly, Peter Chang denied my refund stating that "the rice was cooked properly". Come on, first rule of business - customer is always right. The rice was definitely not cooked as they usually make it. I wish I could give this place the 5 star review that I wanted to, however, this is the best I could do due to their poor customer service

How was your experience with the doctor? The food here is amazing! It's incredibly authentic and consistently delicious. I've been here maybe a dozen times now and have yet to be disappointed with my meal. The service and cocktails could use some work, but I'm not going to Peter Chang for a fine dining experience. I'm going because it's authentic, delicious, Chinese food.

How was your experience with the doctor?Excellent food, large pours of booze, ok service, strange decor, horrible music for a Chinese restaurant!!We had a comical moment when the staff couldn't figure out how to lay a round table for 4 but they made up for it with a free app which was a nice gesture. What I can tell you is that the food is the real deal in terms of spice, garlic, and a little too much salt. Prices are reasonable also and the pours are very large! Being in a mall it has a very large footprint so hopefully they can survive! I will go back for sure.

How was your experience with the doctor?Yes!!! Finally authentic Chinese in Stamford!!   Do not get this place confused with the PF Changs chain restaurant, which is terrible and calls strip malls across middle America home.  Ordered takeout for first time.  Star were fish in hot oil and Mongolian beef.  Dan Dan noodles were just ok.  Flavor was really good, but noodles themselves were either not fresh enough or not cooked well.  Soup dumplings were disappointing.  That's probably because that's more Cantonese (I think)? Pea shoots weren't anything special either.  I would love it if they brought spicy green beans (Hunan dish) to the menu.  I rate them as a solid #2 to Enchanted Szechuan in Norwalk, but personally much more convenient for me.  Tough location in the mall... This place would do better in Summer St area, and with a cooler / more trendy decor, I think.    Feels to much like a mall restaurant right now.

How was your experience with the doctor?Avoid.  Just avoid. Utterly indifferent staff who couldn't care less whether or not you patronize the place.  Also, they do NOT keep their posted hours.  They simply close when they want and tell you that those are their revised hours.  Several business occupying that space in Stamford have already gone out of business. I am confident Peter Chang will soon follow in their footsteps.

How was your experience with the doctor?Came here for the Peking duck and was not disappointed. It was super delish. Only thing is, portion size this was recommended for 2 people and I don't think it would be filling enough. Maybe if 2 people were to order this and a rice or noodle dish. Highly recommended trying this, especially if you're new to Chinese food, this is a must have.

How was your experience with the doctor?I have been a long time fan of Peter Chang's restaurants in Virginia, so you can imagine how excited I was to learn that he opened a restaurant near where I currently live.  Boy, was this a huge disappointment.  The food here is bland to bad.  The Lo Mein is covered in cumin and just has an unpleasant taste.  The Golden Mountain Chicken tastes like it came from a cheap all-you-can-eat buffet. Peter Chang is one of my favorite restaurateurs, and my son even had the pleasure of meeting him at one of his special dinners in Charlottesville, so I hope that he either brings this place up to his standards or cuts ties with this place.

How was your experience with the doctor? So a friend of mine raved about this spot and it sure did not disappoint! The food was spectacular!Upon entering the restaurant you are greeted by a hostess and taken to a booth. I opened up the menu and saw a huge variety of spicy and non spicy dishes that looked authentic and delicious! For appetizer we ordered the dry fried eggplant which was so tasty. It was large fry shaped wedges of eggplant fried to a perfect crisp and seasoned with tasty garlic spice and garnished with ultra hot dried chili peppers. For entrees the 3 of us shared dry fried string beans, shrimp and scallop stir fry and twice fried pork. The dry fried string beans were the best out of 3! They were flavorful, moist and spicy! The twice fried pork came with a lot of leeks and had a nice soy marinade flavor. The shrimp and scallops were super spicy and sautéed with vegetables and peanuts. The service was phenomenal! Our waiter was friendly, funny and attentive. I can't wait to come back to try more dishes!

How was your experience with the doctor?Previously gave them good review but seems to have gone downhill. There are flies inside (many of them) and the restaurant often smells like cleaning chemicals. Scares me to think of the cleanliness level of the kitchen and what goes on in there. Too bad. There was potential here as the duck and other dishes were actually good. But the flies and strong cleaning smell make it very unappetizing, as well as concerning. Hopefully health department will pay them a visit to get their practices in line. Would love them to turn things around and clean up their act!

How was your experience with the doctor?Of all the great places to eat in Stamford, this is not one. We sent back two of our dishes because they were simply inedible (a noodle dish and the wonton appetizers) and struggled to put down the rest. Whether it was drowning in cumin (the lo mein, three pepper chicken...) or completely flavorless (their "signature dish" of prawns was like cardboard), go literally anywhere else.

How was your experience with the doctor?Delicious! Husband and I had scallion pancake (it was a "bubble" with yummy curry sauce), soup dumpling, garlic eggplant, and Chang's hot and numbing combination. Portions are very generous. Wish we could've tried the duck but that was more than enough food...maybe next time :) only reason I'm deducting a star is their service was pretty disappointing. Food comes relatively quickly, but after that none of the waiters check in. They didn't even come by to refill our water, and I really needed it with all the spicy food!

How was your experience with the doctor? If you come here, order only HuBei food. Those are authentic and tasty. We order the tofu skin biscuit, fish tofu soup and they are great. The long beans was also excellent! Beef on hot plate is good too. But we made the mistake or ordering the ShangHai soup dumplings and they are the frozen variety that was terrible.

How was your experience with the doctor?First off, the food wasn't bad but it wasn't great.  The problem was the incredibly long wait and the awful smell of strong disinfectant/cleanser throughout the huge restaurant.  I had to keep stepping outside during our wait to get fresh air!  Normally you would want a restaurant to smell like...well...food.    Waited almost an hour for food when there was only one other table occupied.   The dan dan noodles lacked the depth of flavors it needed, though they weren't terrible.  The mountain chicken dish (or something like that) was very deep fried with a very sweet sauce...It was good but nothing would order again, as too deep fried for my liking.  Such a bad memory of that smell, that I wouldn't return.

How was your experience with the doctor?Pretty legit. The menu is excellent and if you're looking for Szechuan this will definitely do. I had the tofu skin app which was seasoned well and my favorite out of the whole meal - could it have used a touch more hot oil sure but that's me. Thinly sliced tofu skin looking like linguine which was cold and refreshing. I then had the Szechuan beef which was seasoned perfectly. Slightly in the salty side with onions and snow pea pods and tons of peppers. I could use a bit more Szechuan peppercorn but I think you see how I like my food. The lunch comes with a side of rice and veg. The get was baby bok choy and woodear mushroom which was cold and frankly a very good side. My meal came out before the sides and app but generally everything came out quickly. The server was terrific. I have to say it was too warm in the restaurant (my ice melted quickly in my water) but other than that. Decent prices for lunch and a great array of Szechuan delights.

How was your experience with the doctor?I'd go back. But I wouldn't order the cucumber garlic salad again. Probably 3000 milligrams of sodium, whatever are they thinking? Borderline inedible.  Maybe bad luck?Overall a pleasant experience, seated quickly, service was mostly attentive, food came out in An Instant. Do they have vats of these dishes ready to roll?  Not sure...  Steamed veg dumplings:  excellent.I think if you order well you'll be happy... I think...   Will probably try again to see if this place deserves my 4th star.  Not sure I see it gaining a 5th.

How was your experience with the doctor?Located right next to the mall. When I came across this restaurant, I had a fear of it being a chain restaurant and therefore unauthentic. Don't be confused, there's no relation between PF Chang's and Peter Chang. The food came out super quick and they didn't skimp out on the portion size. My waitress was slow and not attentive but you can quickly flag someone else to take care of you.I recommend you coming with a larger party so you can sample a few dishes. But if not, the two plates I tried are delicious. I got the Dry fried string bean and Chang's hot and numbing combination. The reason why I chose the latter is because you get a bit of everything - a perfect harmony of beef, chicken, shrimp, and flounder fillet seasoned with Szechuan spices. I also insist you get white rice instead of brown, it pairs better. I love Szechuan food! If you come here you have to order it spicy!

How was your experience with the doctor?Compared to all the Chinese restaurants I have been to outside of the city, this is is probably the most authentic and delicate! For people who love Szechuanese food, this is a heaven with its thorough approach on the spices, condiments every recipes called for. It left our taste buds with its particular pungent and sophisticated flavor.

How was your experience with the doctor?Unlike a typical Chinese place being attached to a shopping mall, Peter Chang is surprisingly good. My husband and I ordered numbing spicy chicken and some spicy beef dish. Both of them were extremely good, very flavorful and spicy (which we loved). Portions were very generous, we just couldn't finish our food despite coming in starving. Prices are more on the high side. I really wish they break it down to smaller portions and lower the price range

How was your experience with the doctor?I wasn't sure what to expect coming here since I've had bad experiences in the past with Chinese restaurants outside of major cities simply because they aren't authentic and bring an Americanized twist to their menu to accommodate for the locals. It's a solid game plan for doing good business to cater to local tastes but I feel it takes away the opportunity to try different cuisines at their truest form. Luckily Peter Chang is authentic to Sichuan cuisine. It's as good, if not better than many of the restaurants located in New York City. From their apps to their entrees, every dish me and my family ate were delicious.  Staples like the Peking Duck were spectacular and a must try.  Service was friendly and the tables were spacious.
