Dr. Peter Legnani is a board-certified gastroenterologist in New York City. In addition to general gastroenterology and endoscopy, his major clinical subspecialties include inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer screening, and small bowel endoscopy (capsule endoscopy and balloon enteroscopy). He graduated with a BS from Columbia University in 1991, where he was Tau Beta Pi. He received his MD from University of Connecticut, and completed residency and fellowship training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he was named outstanding teaching fellow in 2001 and was Chief Fellow in Gastroenterology. He has authored over 30 papers, book chapters and reviews, has been invited faculty at local, national and international meetings such as the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy annual meeting. He has repeatedly been named as a top gastroenterologist on the Best Doctors and Super Doctors lists.
