Dr. Sinclair joined the Brooklyn Minds team as a clinical psychologist and offer specialized evidence-based psychotherapy to the community. After receiving a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at St. John’s University, she completed predoctoral internship at Bellevue Hospital and NYU Child Study Center and completed further postdoctoral training at the Child Family Institute, where she held the dual roles of Director of Intake and Professional Outreach and Director of Konfident Kids, a treatment program for Selective Mutism. She uses evidence-based psychotherapy to enable patients to meet their current goals and reduce current symptoms. These include, but are not limited to, behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and “third-wave” mindfulness-based psychotherapies, she also treat disorders including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, trauma and PTSD trichotillomania/skin picking, selective mutism, oppositional defiant disorders, and ADHD using evidence-based treatments. Rebecca works to individualize specific treatment protocols to more fully match goals and help build a meaningful life. Along with working with adults she specializes in working with adolescents and children which often includes both parenting work and school consultation.
