Dr. Richard Frankel graduated Cum Laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed post-graduate surgical training in New York ultimately serving as chief surgical resident in foot and ankle surgery in his final year of training. Dr. Frankel also served as Co-Director of the Department of Podiatry at NY Downtown Hospital. He is currently Division Chief of the Podiatric Surgical Service at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Frankel is also the Director of Podiatric Medical Education at Beth Israel Medical Center. He has held these positions since 2004. The Department of Podiatry at Beth Israel has approximately 50 active podiatrists, making it one of New York City's largest podiatry services.
