How was your experience with the doctor?I would have given five stars as Dr. Levine is the one of the best doctors I've ever met, however, the office policy of retaining your debit card or credit card on file if you want to continue treatment in these times of identity theft and scams is unacceptable.  The office was empty of patients when I went and suspect this is the reason why.  Dr. Levine being the great doctor that she is should have millions of patients, however, because of this bad policy she doesn't.  Every other NYU doctor I go to accepts check, money orders or cash.  The owners, who I discovered are the Longs, should rethink this policy if they want more patients.

How was your experience with the doctor?I was referred to Dr. Wendy Long by her father Dr. Long.  Dr. Wendy Long performed a Mohs procedure on my face.   Unfortunately, I made a big mistake choosing Dr. Wendy for this surgery.  Due to my work, I had to schedule my surgery around the Christmas holiday.  After the surgery, which it was very painful, I just was able to leave messages at the office because any doctor was available, including Dr. Wendy Long.  I left various message but no doctor called me back. Sadly, the scar on my face is extremely noticeable.  I went back to speak with Dr. Wendy Long, and she injected cortisone on the scar and asked me to return to her office for more cortisone (6 months); I did not.  Instead, I went to see a well-known plastic surgeon to evaluate my scar. The plastic surgeon injected on my face more cortisone, and asked me to return in 6 moths. I can still notice the scar, which reminds me of Dr. Wendy Long. I really was expecting Dr. Wendy Long to be an excellent dermatologist because she is located at Park Avenue, and it is affiliated with New York University Hospital.  Unfortunately, I was wrong.

How was your experience with the doctor?I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Manhattan Dermatology and the doctors that I've been a patient of. As a 26 year old with red hair and fair skin, the importance of yearly skin checks has always been stressed to me. I've very fortunate and happy that I chose Manhattan Dermatology when I did. During my yearly checkup before the holidays, Dr. Kihiczak found what ended up being early stage melanoma on my ankle. No one ever wants to hear the word cancer, but I was told with genuine kindness and empathy by Dr. Kihiczak. Within a week of the original biopsy, my surgery was swiftly scheduled by the friendly, professional and caring staff. Dr. William Long performed my (painless) surgery - he is the best. Insanely knowledgeable, a true expert at his craft, genuinely caring, friendly and compassionate, Dr. Long put my scared and stressed mind at ease before, during and after the surgery. After suffering some complications with the healing process due to the tricky location of my stitches, Dr. Long intently followed up with me daily as I recovered at home outside of NYC over the holidays, asking questions and looking at photos daily to ensure I was okay. Monitoring my symptoms and progress very attentively, Dr. Long provided exceptional and personalized care and attention to help me continue on the path to healing. Thank you for an early diagnosis and treatment that saved my life. I have highly recommended Manhattan Dermatology to my friends and family and will continue to do so.

How was your experience with the doctor?I had a "nothing special" medical experience: very cursory, not seeming to express much interest in patient well-being. But, beyond that expect to be gouged financially and to wrestle with the office staff. They dinged my credit rating after I had made payment and they messed it up. Separate from that, My wife went here and they repeatedly double billed. It's clear that they are focused on money and revenue, with regard for patient well-being as a distant priority.Update: Feb 2018. My dissatisfaction stands. The business owner just now posted are reply to my post from 2016. I wrote back just now to say, "No, it is not fraud. Your front office was terrible. You only saw me once because your front office was terrible.  Yes, my review was many months after I saw you because many months after I saw your practice, I was still dealing with your billing issues. (Note: I believe the medical care was fine. My issue was with the billing aspect of the care). "So, if you have any issues, expect them to blame you, rather than apologize.I also note that by his own estimation, it was not 18  months. And did he really just post the date of my medical visit in a public forum?

How was your experience with the doctor?I went to see Dr Wendy Long Mitchell yesterday as a first visit.  I am a physician as well so I am typically very critical of others in my profession so I am compelled to write a great review as it's truly genuine and warranted. My internist was concerned about a mole on my back and Dr Wendy Long Mitchell removed it.  She is friendly, professional, thorough and has great knowledge about skin, lasers and all the latest.  I immediately trusted her judgment about my skin and I really like her approach as she is gentle with her recommendations and doesn't push. She is fellowship trained in MOHS so she would be the one I would definitely trust if I had a skin cancer and I would definitely return to her for cosmetic stuff as well like laser resurfacing, for sure.  Her skin is flawless which means she must know what she's doing for sure!I would highly recommend Dr Wendy Long Mitchell...I had an overall fabulous experience with her!

How was your experience with the doctor? This is probably the one of the worst doctors offices amongst so many in the city. Dr. Kihiczak and Dr. Marchbein do not give thorough exams. All they want to do is make money off of your visit. You call for a refill and they want to schedule a 5 min appointment so they can charge you for the visit before they give you a refill for your monthly prescription. What kind of bs is that? I have never had to go monthly to get a prescription that i have been using for 2 years. On top of the rip off for appointments that are rushed and un-helpful, the staff are not nice and the drs do not give you the time to ask and answer any questions you have. Their diagnosis and treatment aren't even working so we will be finding a new doctor that actually gives a crap about their patients.

How was your experience with the doctor?Dr. Kihiczak has been a tremendous presence in my life. He modified my old medication and within a few visits, we found the best solution to treat my acne. My face is finally on the right track. Also, it's very easy to schedule with the front office. Would recommend Dr. K and the practice to anyone.

How was your experience with the doctor?I saw Dr. Marchbein two months ago. Initially, I felt conflicted after the appointment. She was pleasant and provided detailed information but I had a few concerns which led me to cancel my follow up appointment with her and seek a second opinion from another dermatologist. I had read other reviews that stated Dr. Marchbein's was punctual and expected that of her patients, so I arrived 30 mins before my appointment. At the exact minute of my appointment time I was called back into a room to meet with Dr. Marchbein. I met briefly (about 30 seconds) with her assistant and then sat to wait. After what felt like forever, I pulled out my phone and noticed it was now 10 minutes passed the time my appointment was supposed to start. I waited longer then checked my phone again, now 14 minutes passed the time of my appointment. Shortly after, Dr. Marchbein came in and at a rapid pace, we went over my symptoms, reviewed some paperwork for two possible diagnoses and discussed some over-the-counter treatments. My head was swimming with information, so I wanted to ask for clarification and address some questions. It was at this point Dr. Marchbein stood up and said that she's not wearing a watch so she doesn't know how long she's been in the room with me and she needs to respect her other patient's schedules so we'll have to arrange for a follow up to discuss everything further. Before I could even object to this or ask questions, she was out the door to see when the next available time was and then said goodbye and was on to her next patient leaving me with another staff member to schedule the follow up. Had she arrived on time to my appointment, everything could've been resolved in one appointment. Her lateness required that I take more time off work, pay another co-pay and have my insurance billed for another visit. As much as I liked the time that I had with Dr. Marchbein, I felt like I was  being taken advantage of as a patient by being made to schedule follow-ups that were, in my opinion, unnecessary. I can understand the need for follow-ups to see how a treatment is working or how symptoms are but this felt like it was almost done intentionally to overwhelm with information then rush off at the end to avoid questions so a follow up would be necessary just to get more money out of me.I'm very glad that I canceled my follow-up appointment with Dr. Marchbein and sought a second opinion elsewhere. The second dermatologist that I saw provided me with a thorough exam and consultation that lasted 30 minutes and requires follow up in the next month to see how treatment is going. I was given a definite diagnosis and treatment plan and allowed ample time to address my questions and concerns without feeling rushed. I would advise anyone to avoid going to Manhattan Dermatology, unless you like wasting your time and money.

How was your experience with the doctor? The front office staff here are unprofessional and plain rude. Have been here for almost five visits and due to their lack of service and incompetence I am considering switching doctors. The overall care I've gotten is fine- not great but beware of the staff. There are definitely better places to receive care in NY. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

How was your experience with the doctor?I saw Dr. Kihiczak three years ago for a routine procedure and had no complaints however I recently made an appointment and my experience was totally different. I went back for the same issue as my first visit three years ago and was told by the office staff that I needed 2 appointments - 1 for the evaluation and the second for the procedure.  That makes no sense since this was not my first visit and Dr. Kihiczak had seen me before for the same procedure. Why should my insurance pay $300 for a 10 minute evaluation that had been previously done??? This is just plain wrong not to mention unethical.  It's a numbers game - 4 patients an hour at $300 = $1,200 an hour.  There was a time when Dr's treated patients with respect and consideration not just a number.  On my most recent visit I questioned the additional "evaluation" appointment and the Dr would not even see me to explain why I needed an extra appointment.  I asked the office staff how long the surgical procedure & evaluation would take and they told me it would take 45 minutes ... so why not just make it one appointment - that would mean less billable time.  Other Dr's - e.g. chiropractors, acupuncturists take their time to diagnose the issue - I have never heard of a chiropractor booking 4 or 5 patients in one hour.  I'm sick (no pun intended) of greedy doctors!!!!

How was your experience with the doctor?Dr. Wendy Long is a wonderful doctor.  This was my first visit to  a dermatologist in decades, so I didn't know what to expect.  She was warm, friendly, thorough, careful and focused. How was your experience with the doctor?I find it interesting that there are so many self-certified dermatologists commenting here, but that's certainly another matter. I recently saw Dr. Marchbein for a check-up. I've struggled with acne for most of my life, have fair and sensitive skin, and enough moles to draw a constellation chart, so I place dermatology fairly high on my priority list. While I agree that the front desk staff isn't necessarily the friendliest I've ever encountered, I also recognize that the world doesn't revolve around me, and I don't expect them to treat me like the sun shines out of my ass just because I've decided to grace their office with my presence. They were courteous and prompt, and that was that. Dr. Marchbein, however, is a gem. Full body check-ups can be awkward, but she made it easy and light, and I never felt uncomfortable. She also put me on a fantastic regimen that has changed my skin in aboutt 2 weeks, and I'm using half the amount of make-up I did prior to visiting her. She listened to every question I had, and provided a well-informed answer to each of them. Any concern I voiced was poignantly heard, and rebutted with facts and well-intentioned direction. Was the visit quick? Certainly. I would expect nothing less. While I'm sure she would make a great happy-hour partner, I appreciated her respect of my time. This was a great experience. And I'd encourage anyone to call them.

How was your experience with the doctor? This review is for Dr. Marchbein. Shari Marchbein is really one of a kind. I'm almost never compelled to write reviews but she is the exception. Kind and compassionate with absolutely incredible bedside manner, she treats you like her equal... a friend, even. No condescension or cold abruptness like I have experienced with sooo many doctors (particularly dermatologists!). She looks you in the eye and is so patient. I've never felt rushed. She totally knows her stuff -- she's intelligent and trustworthy and super clear. She explains everything with lots of detail and always with a smile. She never makes you feel stupid for asking a question. I recently saw her after about a year and a half, and she remembered very specific things about me and my life and our former treatment plans together. I've dealt with acne for over a decade and it's an extremely emotional and frustrating process - she always validates my feelings and assures me that she is "in it to win it" -- to figure out a plan that gets results. SO GRATEFUL for her!!!

How was your experience with the doctor?Love Dr. Kihiczak.  Scheduling was easy (they're on ZocDocs), followup scheduling was easy (did it with the doctor who was carrying an iPad).Doctor was no-nonsense, down-to-earth, easy to talk to.  Straightforward while taking the time to answer my questions in a clear manner. Finally, I had surgery with him to remove a cyst.  Another dermatologist had botched it --however Kihiczak performed the surgery easily, with excellent results and a smaller scar than the dermatologist I used to go to.Definitely recommend.

How was your experience with the doctor?I recently had an appointment with Dr. Wendy Long Mitchell.  I was extremely fearful about my skin check.  She put me at remarkable ease and conducted my skin check, taking extra time to explain everything to me and to continue to reassure me throughout.  It is really rare to find such "bedside manner" today, but thankfully, such doctors exist.  Dr. Long Mitchell is one of this disappearing breed.  I highly recommend her.

How was your experience with the doctor?WORST CLINICAL EXPERIENCE EVER. Unprofessional doctors and rude staff. Think twice before you go here.I had my first appointment with Dr. Marchbein. She was nice but didn't really do or say anything helpful. She looked at my rash, said it could be this or that, then gave me a cream to try. I was in and out of the office in 10 minutes. It was not too bad but since I did't have insurance, I did expect more from $285 I had paid out of my pocket. After using the cream (which cost $60 at Duane Reade) twice a day for two weeks, my rash only got worse and spread all the way from my ankles to my butt. I tried to book another appointment with Dr. Marchbein and thought maybe I should get a biopsy, but she was all booked up for the following two weeks. So I had the next available appointment with Dr. Kihiczak, which turned out to be really frustrating.Dr. Kihiczak, just like Dr. Marchbein, didn't say anything you wouldn't know from a 5-minute google search. It could be this, it could be that. "Oh it looks like poison ivy kinda thing..." He prescribed another 2 creams and said they shouldn't be very expensive since they were both generic. Again I was in and out in 10 minutes. Another $185 paid just for a prescription to try my luck.AND HERE COMES THE WORST PART.It turned out that Dr. Kihiczak didn't prescribe the generic version and I paid $312 for 2 creams. He only found out about this one week later, called the pharmacy, and changed the prescription. The pharmacy then called me, attempting to confirm the payment and mail the 2 generic creams to me for another $65. I told the pharmacy to cancel the second prescription, then called the billing office of the clinic. The girl on the phone took all the information she needed, and said she would send the doctor a message and get back to me.I didn't hear from the clinic or the doctor in the next two days, so I called again, twice. As soon as I said that I'd called 2 days earlier about a prescription that went wrong, the woman cut me short rudely and put me on hold forever without explaining anything. So after spending $850, including the absolutely unnecessary $250 for the doctor's mistake in clicking his mouse, I'm still having the same problem with my skin. Maybe after reading this you would like to save it on your phone, and pull it out someday when you feel like you're kinda having a bad day. I bet it'll make you feel much better right away.

How was your experience with the doctor?I had a few pretty awful experiences with Dr. Marchbein. Actually, I think they are some of the worst experiences with a doctor I've had.  I can echo all of the feedback from other people who have talked about Dr. Marchbein's patronizing tone and her rushed visits that prioritize her own agenda instead of the patient's needs/requests.  That all happened. I'm actually glad to see that other people wrote that because I am transgender and I was actually wondering if her manner with me was because I am gender non-conforming.  I was feeling like maybe she was being phobic, but I guess not.  I went to see Dr. Marchbein for a few reasons.  One is that I go through periods of time where I get terrible eczema.  She basically was like "just buy this cream from the drugstore!!." It didn't really work.  Now I'm using a salve my acupuncturist gave me that is great, natural, and not on the docket of the dermatologist lobby.  I came to have two pilar cysts removed and another cyst on my leg that had appeared after a surgery from a left-over suture.  In the past I had gotten four pilar cysts removed by another dermatologist in another state before I moved to NY.  All of those cysts had been removed without a problem by the dermatologist.  They haven't grown back, and the recovery was easy.  Both of the pilar cysts that Dr. Marchbein removed grew back and the healing time was extra long.  And so now I am at square one with them.  The kicker for me is that once I was late to an appointment.  I'm usually early for everything, but I was relatively new to NYC and got a little turned around.  I called the office to say that I was a little lost and on my way (before my appointment).  I offered to reschedule because I didn't want to hold things up.  They said to come anyhow and they would try to squeeze me in.  I arrived, waited a while (which was fine, as I was late) and was taken back.  Dr. Marchbein came in and proceeded to  scold me the ENTIRE appointment.  I had apologized, I had offered to rescheduled--all of that.  Me being late was all she talked about the entire time she was seeing me--even while looking at my skin and dealing with sensitive areas (like my groin).  And of course I was in a medical gown or something, so extra uncomfortable. So, of course, I never came back.  What bothers me the most is why I went multiple times to see her.  What was wrong with me that I was settling for a level of care that was not only not helpful medically, but terrible in every other way?

How was your experience with the doctor?I went to see Dr. Long to discuss my undereye circles.  I am 31 years old and the last few years they have been getting much darker.  He was a very nice man but is definitely not the person to see regarding anything cosmetic.  He pretty much just stared into space and I made suggestions based on things I've read on the internet.  Then he would tell me why the proceedure/product I suggested was a bad idea.  I left without any answers.

How was your experience with the doctor?Dr Marchbein is the best dermatologist I've seen, bar none.  I am terrified of doctors, and she put me at total ease all the times I have seen her (white coat syndrome gets me every time!)  she is also extremely knowledgeable about her field (i ask a million questions) and always knows exactly what I've had done previously when I see her in my follow ups - so I don't feel like just another number.  I am a health care provider, and I will happily be referring my dermatology cases out to her knowing my patients will be well looked after.

How was your experience with the doctor?Dr. Marchbein was patronizing and rude.  In addition to her horrible bedside manner, she seemed to have her own agenda for my appointment.  I had questions for her and she wouldn't answer them until she was "done."  By the time I was allowed to ask my questions, I'd forgotten them. After pushing 5 new prescriptions on me and a rigid face routine, she refused to do a full body check even after I told her I'd not had one in years.  She insisted that she couldn't "go over" all of dermatology in one appointment (though she "wished she could").  Basically what she wanted was collect from the insurance company two times and get me back in there in a month.  I was livid when I left.

How was your experience with the doctor?Had a great experience with the doctor, but unfortunately she went out on maternity leave shortly after my visit and I have now been waiting 5 weeks on lab results. Diagnoses to surgery (i.e. removal, which made me cancer-free) happened within around a two-week time frame. I am so thankful to her, and so happy I wound up at Manhattan Dermatology. How was your experience with the doctor?I've read many reviews for this office and they seem to be either 1 or 5 stars, with the low ratings usually associated with a billing/price/payment issue. I've seen Dr. Long twice before, and both times he was professional, courteous, and even mildly humorous, always putting me at ease while deftly taking care of all issues. On another note, today I saw Dr. Kihiczak (Dr. Long is on vacation); Dr. Kihiczak was extremely professional and exceptionally kind during a frightening procedure...he was thourough, concerned and caring for my health, safety and comfort the entire time. So far no billing problems whatsoever.

How was your experience with the doctor?I saw Dr. Shari Marchbein because my facial skin had become overly dry.  I was shocked at the quality of service she provided, especially upon learning that she charged over $300 for what was no more than 7 minutes of her time.  After explaining my situation, she handed me a photocopied piece of paper with generic instructions to use 2 mass brands that spend millions marketing to dermatologists (I used to be the brand manager for one of these brands so am well aware).  After this, when I tried to ask some questions, she told me I would have to make another appointment because my questions were "cosmetic" in nature and my current visit was a medical visit. In short, I left the office feeling that I didn't receive the product recommendations, didn't get clarity on the severity of my problem, nor all my questions answered.  In short, unacceptable form a medical professional.

How was your experience with the doctor?Super unprofessional office staff and extremely overpriced, even with insurance. I went in for a super easy procedure (wart removal, if you must know) and the whole process was just so much more difficult than it needed to be.First, I was fairly certain that the bump I was dealing with was a wart so I wanted to just have it frozen off. The doctor I met with wanted to do all sorts of crazy tests, including a biopsy.  I asked her if she could please just freeze it off. She protested but finally agreed. Took literally less than 5 minutes. The end?  No, of course not.Several weeks later I receive a bill for $234.  Say what??  I have insurance!  Well it turns out that the $234 was my portion after insurance, because they billed my insurance company a whopping $600 for a simple wart removal, calling it a "Surgery."  Since when does a less than 5 minute wart removal count as a $600 surgery?  I figured I was just billed incorrectly so I tried to call the office.  Repeatedly.  I can't tell you how many times they told me that someone would get back to me "within 24 hours", only to not hear from them for 2 weeks.  Super frustrating.  When I finally did speak with someone, they tried to double down on the wart-removal-as-surgery story, which is just ridiculous.  It took me more than 6 months and I have finally just given in and am paying them their stupid $234 out-of-pocket, in addition to the money they already got from my insurance company.  What a scam.  I spoke with several other dermatologists who charge $200-250 flat for the same removal process - without insurance.Don't bother with this place - there are too many great dermatologists in the city to waste your time and money on this one.

I stated my condition on my first visit she denied that my wound was blistered and open. I felt as if she was more concerned with a legal suit than she was with getting me back to health. Never going back. Stay away from here!

How was your experience with the doctor?I have been a patient of both Dr. Wendy Long and her dad, Dr. William Long for about 5 years (from a personality match standpoint, I have a preference for Dr. Wendy, but her dad is quite nice as well, a bit quirky but cool.  I've had about 9 visits with Dr. Wendy and 1 with Dr. Long. )  Both are very professional and good listeners, and their exams are quite extensive and complete.  Most appointments seem to run about on time (maybe a 10 minute wait) and while the receptionists do seem to be occupied at times chatting amongst themselves, I've never had a problem with them or thought they were unprofessional. I had a cancer scare about 6 years ago and I needed someone that was a compassionate and good listener, with an expertise in virus-related skin issues.  Dr. Wendy listened carefully, asked lots of good questions, checked EVERYWHERE and also gave me  tips of things to look for on my own. Every once in awhile, she would freeze a few pre-carcinom skin thingies (she said not to worry, but to avoid the sun, wear sunblock and a hat, and keep up with my scheduled appointment).I'm a big fan.

How was your experience with the doctor?I wouldn't normally review a doctor I'm actively seeing, but some of the mixed reviews here made me a bit reluctant to schedule my first appointment.  I'm glad I went ahead anyway because I've had an amazing experience so far.Dr. Marchbein is absolutely wonderful.  I've seen her a few times now in relation to two issues.  The first issue ended up requiring a minor procedure, which she performed on the spot.  I was very nervous about it, but she put me completely at ease, chatted with me while it was going on to keep me calm, and it was over before I knew it.  Her assistant was fantastic too.  The worst part was having to change the bandaids for two weeks (ouch!).  It was great that she was able to do this right away so that I didn't have to schedule another appointment and endlessly worry in the days leading up to it.She's been treating my second issue with a series of prescriptions, which she has explained well and adjusted as necessary.  The regimen is working much better than the one my last dermatologist had me on (he kept insisting on the same medications even though they weren't working after months and months).  Dr. Marchbein is also phenomenal about offering samples and coupons when available.  My prescription copays are pretty reasonable so they haven't always saved me money, but it's still an extremely thoughtful and appreciated gesture - she really has her act together (total Type-A in an awesome way).  Unlike other doctors I've seen in the city, she walks into appointments knowing exactly why I'm there and what we discussed the last visit.  Sounds a bit basic, but it's not (my PCP who I otherwise like walks into my annual exams not knowing the first thing about me - I imagine she maintains a chart somewhere, but she certainly never reviews it).  My college roommate recently finished up med school and is specializing in dermatology - every time I leave an appointment here, I need to resist the urge to email her a list of suggestions about how she can be like Dr. Marchbein when she has her own practice.I would agree, however, with the reviewer who mentioned that some of the women at the front desk aren't the best.  The prior review might refer to their other location, but it applies equally here as well - they are a bit on the unprofessional side, seem generally unhappy, and vaguely put-upon when patients arrive.  I still wouldn't hesitate to recommend Manhattan Dermatology, but that is one small area where they could improve.

How was your experience with the doctor?I've been a patient of both Dr. Wendy and Dr. Marchbein, both of whom are great. I have the same issues as others with the front desk, and I also find the lack of a sense of urgency or availability of appointments in emergency situations, not a big zit before a date emergency, but a spreading infection emergenc,  frustrating. Especially when I know people who do get to pop in for cortisone for large zits on an hours notice. So I'd love a little flexibility on that end, or at least a little empathy from the front office staff.

How was your experience with the doctor?Love Dr. Marchbein!  A true find in NYC. Down to earth and thorough.  Have lots of frustrating skin issues and I'm so relieved that I have met a professional that really cares.  I actually look forward to my visits with this wonderful woman and doctor!  I'm grateful and wanted to take the time to spread the word.  Happy skin care :)

How was your experience with the doctor? This review is for the front desk ladies. They are all quite rude.  Every time I call, they ALL answer the phone laughing or in mid conversation with someone else then i hear giggling in the background.  When they actually address me, it makes me feel like I'm bother them...sorry ladies, it's not playtime, this is your job and if it weren't for the clients/patients, you would not have a job. Get it together and let's be a bit professional. As for the Doctors, I love Dr. Long-Mitchell! she is the absolute best!!

How was your experience with the doctor?I have seen dermatologist after dermatologist for a skin issue I have had for about 6 years. No dermatologist was able to figure out what my skin condition was. Dr. Marchbein is the only doctor that not only figured out what my face condition is but cured me as well!  She was super helpful at explaining what exactly my skin condition is and wrote down an easy step by step routine for the medications she prescribed me.  My experience with her was wonderful and I highly recommend any one with any type of skin condition/disorder to go and see her!

How was your experience with the doctor? After moving to NYC after graduating college, my face broke out almost as badly as it did after I went through puberty. That's not a good look for a girl in her early 20s, starting a new job and meeting new people everyday. I tried every skin care product on the market, got facials and even had to have my mom buy me a plane ticket home to Florida to see my childhood dermotologist. After all of those options failing, I decided to ask my friends around New York for a good dermotologist. One of my friends mentioned that she heard great things about Dr. Marchbein, and honestly at that point I was the furthest from being open minded, but I figured I'd give it a shot. After waiting almost 45 mins in the waiting room during my lunch break from work, I was brought into my own room, awaiting to see this new derm. Dr. Marchbein walked in more enthused than any dermotologist I've ever met in my life... or any Doctor for that matter. The second she glanced at my skin I imagined the words coming out of her mouth.."There is no hope you need to go on accutaine," but instead she said "I know exactly what we are going to do with you!" She put me on a strict regimine using both topical treatments, antibiotics and over the counter cleansers and moisturizers. I followed it to a pea for 3 months. Within that time my skin was 95% clear! Who would have thought using over the counter products would contribute in a positive way to clearing my skin.I visit Dr. Marchbein now every 2 months for a check up and every time she is more and more thrilled as she glances at my skin. I could tell she is proud of her work and so am I. She has decreased the doses of antibiotics and my skin has still stayed clearer than ever. It's great that I can now be the one to recommend Dr. Marchbein to friends and co-worksers. In fact, a girl from work just made an appointment this week!

How was your experience with the doctor?I've seen Dr. Marchbein for almost 2 years now and have been extremely happy with her - and with my entire experience at Manhattan Dermatology.  As a (now former)sun-worshipper, she was the first dermatologist to actually get through to me about how stupid I've been.  She doesn't lecture, she just cares about her patients and wants to educate them.  I've seen Dr. Marchbein for routine skin exams, acne issues, and cosmetic procedures.  She has always made me feel at ease, even when performing minor surgery to remove a mole on my leg.  My skin looks better than it has in years.

How was your experience with the doctor? As a patient of Dr. Wendy Long Mitchell since 2008, I have consistently received outstanding medical and dermatological care.  Although I rarely write reviews, this proven and sustained professional excellence has compelled me to share my feedback. With a background in the sciences and law, and being raised in a family of physicians, I have always been very particular and conscientious about the selection and retention of my medical and health care providers.  I received extremely reliable personal and professional referrals to Dr. Long Mitchell, including from my internist-cardiologist who stated that she "is a superstar" (and he does not give praise lightly); further research illustrated her extensive and impressive education, training, and certifications.Dr. Long Mitchell has attended to my dermatological issues ranging from advising on skin protection during travel and general daily skin care to milia removal and cyst surgery.  She is a responsive, caring medical professional who provides thoughtful, comprehensive and expert medical treatment.  She is an excellent communicator - fully explaining the issues, options and procedures with patience and understanding.  She has a phenomenal "bedside manner" - providing comfort, ease and confidence during check-ups and procedures.  She has amazing surgical prowess - providing positive results.  (The suture site of my cyst removal surgery near my eye is not even visible.)As to her office, Manhattan Dermatology, my appointments have been scheduled in a timely fashion and have started on or very near the scheduled times.  Helpful reminder calls are made prior to appointments, and check-in and check-out are quick and easy.  The staff has been pleasant and helpful. With utmost confidence and without reservation, I highly recommend Dr. Wendy Long Mitchell.

How was your experience with the doctor?I am an existing patient of Dr. Long Mitchell's, and I  just tried to make an appointment for urgent care as I am experiencing a painful skin condition. I was told by the receptionist that the next available appointment was in two weeks, and that they wouldn't accept me as a walk in. I will be getting a new doctor. This is absolutely unacceptable for anyone I that I give my business to.
