"Dr. Campbell saw me at one of my appts during my pregnancy. He has a very poor bedside manner. He came in saw my belly button and said it looked like i had an umbilical hernia (nope just my belly button), said he was going to listen to the heart beat, told me it was fine and then walked out. He announced to the nurse on exiting only a few minutes after waking in, “that’s how it’s done, in and out”. How fortuitous! Of course of all the OBs at Virtua Phoenix OBGYN I ended up with this charming fellow as my delivering Dr. I arrived at the hospital 35-40 mins after my water broke and my contractions started. When I got to the room and Dr Campbell checked me I was 10cm +2. After he checked me he literally walked across the room, and leaned against the wall with his arms folded. He stood there like that while I was blacking out and my daughters heart rate dropping into the 40s. The only interaction I had with him was one time during a contraction when he was shoving papers in my face barking at me to sign them to consent to a blood transfusion and/or C-section. After 15 minutes of leaving me blacking out between contractions my husband finally turned and asked what exactly it was that he was doing? Finally he walks back over and decides to do his job to help me deliver the baby. Fortunately by that point she was born after 2-3 pushes, but I was left with the worst birth experience of 4 children. I would recommend that you avoid this OB at all costs, which is unfortunate because there are other lovely OBs within the practice. I won’t even go to him for my 6 week follow up. He seems to do as little as he can in order to charge as much money as he can. He is not interested in his patients or there well being."

"He is a very caring, involved doctor who not only gets to know you but also gets to know your spouse/significant other. My daughter is now 12 but every time I go to see him he asks specifically about both her and my husband by their names. That is very rare."
